Do You Have Questions About Temple Filling?

What are the changes in temples with aging?

With age, there is collapse in the pit bone base, melting of subcutaneous fat tissue, sagging and thinning of the skin. In time, with these changes in the temple, a concave appearance becomes, and the outer bone of the eye that forms the anterior border of the pit becomes more prominent. Eyebrows stand out as unhealthy. Since the temple supports the outer 1/3 part of the eyebrow, the outer part of the eyebrow is not visible with aging. The flatness of the temples makes the wrinkles around the eyes more pronounced; it causes the eyelids to sag from the side.

How should an ideal face be?

The ideal face is heart shaped. On this face, the temples are full, wide, and the chin is thin and sufficiently sharp.

What should we target with temple filling?

Temples play a very important role in facial symmetry. The collapse that will occur in this area over time disrupts the facial symmetry and gives the face an unhealthy appearance. Here, the purpose of filling in this area is to replace the lost volume only. Thus, the bony appearance on the face disappears. Continuity between the temple pit and cheekbone is provided.
